The law of nature
The nature is our .guideline. What does that mean? We refer, for example, to the entire vegetation process and not solely to the sugar graduation, to find the ideal time for the grape harvest. This is especially important in one of Austria’s wine-growing regions with the lowest precipitation. In order to determine the physiological ripeness of the grapes we are constantly tasting and observing the discolouration of the pits. Only undamaged grapes are the base for high quality, therefore are they picked by hand at winery Hebenstreit. White wine grapes are carefully delivered and pressed. Red wine grapes are mashed in the red wine fermenting tanks.

Our types
Our main tpye is the Grüner Veltliner, the predominant grade in the Weinviertel. Of course other white wines also have their place in our winery, such as Welschriesling, Riesling, Chardonnay and Weissburgunder. Red wines are also part of our business. For example Blauer Portugieser, Blauburger and Zweigelt, which are processed both, genuinely and also to a fine cuvee. Our vineyards comprise 15 hectare of which 70 % are white wines and 30 % red wines. Our objective is to emphasize the typical, regional character of our wines. The Weinviertel with its special microclimate and its heterogenic soil – loam, loess and decomposition rock – makes a unique terroir.
